\nPrevention of transplant rejection after solid organ transplantation
\nTreatment of cell rejection in patients who have received other immunosuppressive agents
\nPrevention of graft rejection after allogeneic bone marrow transplant and stem cell transplant
\nPrevention or treatment of graft versus host disease (GVHD)
\nTreatment of intermediate or posterior uveitis of non-infectious origin, threatening vision, in patients who have not responded to conventional therapy or who have experienced unacceptable side effects following such therapy
\nTreatment of Beh\u00e7et’s uveitis with repeated inflammatory attacks involving the retina in patients without neurological manifestations
\nTreatment of corticosteroid-dependent and corticosteroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome, secondary to a primary glomerular pathology such as minimal lesion nephropathy, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis or extra-membranous glomerulonephritis
\nTreatment of severe and active forms of rheumatoid arthritis
\nTreatment of severe forms of psoriasis when conventional therapy has been shown to be inadequate or ineffective
\nTreatment of severe atopic dermatitis requiring systemic treatment

Solid organ transplant
\nStart treatment with ciclosporin within 12 hours of surgery
\nInitial dose: at 15 mg \/ kg, to be administered in 2 divided doses
\nContinue to administer this daily dose for 1 to 2 weeks after the procedure, then gradually reduce the dose according to blood concentrations, until a recommended maintenance dose of approximately 2 to 6 is obtained. mg \/ kg, to be administered in 2 divided doses<\/p>\n
Bone marrow transplant
\nRecommended daily dose: 12.5 to 15 mg \/ kg, to be administered in 2 divided doses
\nTreatment should start the day before the transplant<\/p>\n
Endogenous uveitis
\nInitial dose: 5 mg \/ kg \/ day, in 2 divided doses
\nRefractory cases: the dose may be increased to 7 mg \/ kg \/ day for a limited time
\nDuring the remission phases: max. 5 mg \/ kg \/ day<\/p>\n
Nephrotic syndrome
\nAdults: recommended daily dose of 5 mg \/ kg
\nChildren: recommended daily dose of 6 mg \/ kg
\nMax. 5 mg \/ kg \/ day in adults and 6 mg \/ kg \/ day in children
\nInitial dose: max. 2.5 mg \/ kg \/ day<\/p>\n
Rheumatoid arthritis
\nRecommended dose: 3 mg \/ kg \/ day in 2 divided doses for 6 weeks
\nCombination with a weekly low dose of methotrexate: starting dose of 2.5 mg \/ kg of ciclosporin per day
\nIf the effect is insufficient, then the daily dose can be gradually increased, depending on the patient’s tolerance.
\nMax. 5 mg \/ kg<\/p>\n
Psoriasis
\nRecommended initial dose: 2.5 mg \/ kg \/ day, in 2 divided doses.
\nIf there is no improvement after 1 month of treatment, the daily dose may be gradually increased
\nMax. 5 mg \/ k<\/p>\n
Atopic dermatitis
\nRecommended dose: 2.5 to 5 mg \/ kg \/ day, in 2 divided doses.
\nIf the effect is insufficient after 2 weeks of treatment, the daily dose can be rapidly increased up to a maximum of 5 mg \/ kg<\/p>\n
Administer the daily dose of ciclosporin in two separate doses, spread evenly over the day.
\nIt is recommended that ciclosporin be administered on a regular schedule, depending on the time of day and meals
