This means that you cannot use these medicines for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor. It is also important to stop treatment as soon as your symptoms disappear.<\/p>\n<p>Indication<br \/>\nShort-term symptomatic treatment of gastric acidity (heartburn) and gastric pain.<\/p>\n<p>Use<br \/>\nAdults and adolescents&gt; 12 years<br \/>\n1 to 2 tablet (s) per dose, preferably one hour after meals and at bedtime<br \/>\nIf necessary, an additional dose 2 hours later<br \/>\nMaximum 7 catches per day<\/p>\n<p>Chew or suck the tablets<\/p>\n<p>Composition<br \/>\nMaalox Antacid\u00ae 200mg \/ 400mg Chewable tablets: 1 chewable tablet contains 400 mg hydrated aluminum oxide (= 200 mg aluminum oxide), 400 mg magnesium hydroxide, 259.2 mg sucrose and 125 mg of sorbitol.<\/p>\n<p>List of excipients:<br \/>\nMannitol (E421)<br \/>\nSorbitol (E420)<br \/>\nSodium saccharinate (E954)<br \/>\nSucrose &#8211; Corn starch<br \/>\nPeppermint essential oil<br \/>\nMagnesium stearate (E572)<br \/>\nSucrose<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maalox Antacid\u00ae and Maalox Antacid\u00ae Forte are medicines based on aluminum hydroxide (hydrated aluminum oxide) and magnesium hydroxide.
