\nimidazoles. This medication is indicated for the treatment of:
\nFungal skin diseases such as:
\nFungal infection in the hands and skin folds (tinea manuum)
\nFungal infection in the feet and interdigital spaces of the toes (tinea pedis)
\nRingworm of the body, a fungal infection of the skin (tinea corporis)
\nFungal infection in the groin (tinea inguinalis)
\nSkin infection with severe peeling and the formation of light to dark brown spots (pytiriasis versicolor)
\nFungal infection in the glans (balanitis)
\nSuperficial bacterial infection of the skin (erythrasma)
\nCanestene Derm 1% cream is not suitable for the treatment of vaginal yeast infection.<\/p>\n
HOW TO USE CANESTENE DERM 1% CREAM
\nAlways use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you or
\npharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.
\nCanestene Derm 1% cream is intended for external use. It is not suitable for use
\nvaginal. Avoid contact with mucous membranes, such as those in the mouth.<\/p>\n
Mode of application
\nApply once a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime.
\nWash and dry the affected area thoroughly.
\nApply a small amount to the affected area and massage in the cream.
\nA small amount is usually sufficient to treat an area about the size of the palm of your hand.<\/p>\n
Duration of use
\nFor lasting cure, treatment with bifonazole should be administered reliably and for a sufficiently long period.<\/p>\n
Average duration of treatment:
\nFungal infection in the feet or between the toes: 3 weeks
\nFungal infection in the body, hands or skin folds: 2 to 3 weeks
\nTinea versicolor (a skin disease often accompanied by peeling
\nsevere and light to dark brown spots): 2 weeks
\nErythrasma (a superficial bacterial infection of the skin): 2 weeks
\nSuperficial fungal infection of the skin: 2 to 4 weeks
\nCanestene Derm 1% Cream is odorless, non-greasy, easily removed with water and will not stain.<\/p>\n
What Canestene Derm 1% cream contains
\nThe active substance is bifonazole. 15 grams of cream contains 0.15 grams of bifonazole
\nThe other ingredients are: sorbitan monostearate, polysorbate 60, ester wax
\ncetyl, cetylstearyl alcohol, 2-octyldodecanol, benzyl alcohol, water purified in quantity
