Pregnancy
\nPrevention of abnormalities during the development of the central nervous system of the fetus (anencephaly, spina bifida) in women at high risk such as the presence of a family history of neural tube defects, as well as in women who, when from a previous pregnancy, had a child with neural tube defects.
\nTreatment of macrocytic anemia due to folic acid deficiency until serum levels normalize.<\/p>\n

Occurring in alcoholics and in states of malnutrition especially in the elderly

\nStart as soon as folate deficiency is confirmed and continue until the anemia is corrected
\nThen we will ensure that the daily intake of folic acid is sufficient (about 400 mcg \/ day)<\/p>\n

Composition
\nFolic acid 4 mg.
\nExcipient with known effect: lactose. Patients with galactose intolerance, total lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome (rare hereditary diseases) should not take this medicine.
\nList of excipiens: Microcrystalline cellulose – pregelatinized starch – lactose – colloidal anhydrous silica – magnesium stearate.<\/p>\n
