Losferron is used for the prevention and treatment of anemia caused by iron deficiency.
Each effervescent tablet contains 695 mg of ferrous gluconate (corresponding to 80.5 mg of bivalent iron).

How to use Losferron
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.
Adults:
1 effervescent tablet per day.
In more severe anemia, the dose can be increased to 2 or 3 ½ tablets per day divided into two or three divided doses.

Children:
Losferron effervescent tablets are not recommended for children weighing less than 14 kg. For children weighing 14 kg or more, 3 mg / kg body weight / day of elemental iron should be given, corresponding to ½ to 1 effervescent tablet per day. A daily dose of more than 5 mg / kg of body weight should not be exceeded and the maximum daily dose should not be more than 100 mg of elemental iron.

What Losferron contains
The active substance is ferrous gluconate.

The other ingredients are:
Ascorbic acid, citric acid anhydrous, tartaric acid, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate anhydrous, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, orange yellow S (E 110), flavor
orange (contains sorbitol and benzyl alcohol – see section 2).
