Indication
Dry and irritating cough.
Noscapine reduces the cough reflex and is used for the symptomatic treatment of non-productive coughs. Indicated for adults, adolescents, and children over 6 years of age.
Use
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
To open the bottle, press down on the child-resistant cap while turning it counterclockwise.
The recommended dose is 15 to 30 ml, 3 to 4 times a day (24 hours).
The maximum daily dose is 120 ml.
The interval between doses should be at least 4 hours.
Use in children and adolescents:
Children 12 years and older: 15 ml, 4 to 5 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 75 ml.
Children aged 6 to 12 years: 15 ml, 2 to 4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 60 ml.
Children under 6 years: The use of Nosca-Méréprine syrup is contraindicated in children under 6 years of age.
Elderly patients: Elderly patients may be more sensitive due to the slower metabolism of noscapine. A dose reduction may therefore be necessary in these patients. If you feel that the effect of Nosca-Méréprine syrup is too strong or too weak, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Method of administration: The dose should be measured using the graduated cup provided. Do not exceed the stated doses. Do not use the syrup for more than 5 days without consulting a doctor. If you have taken more Nosca-Méréprine syrup than you should have
Symptoms of a Nosca-Méréprine syrup overdose include: agitation, confusion, anxiety, skin rash, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, difficulty breathing due to bronchospasm, shortness of breath, flushing, rapid heartbeat, and a temporary drop in blood pressure.

Composition
What Nosca-Méréprine syrup contains:
The active ingredient is noscapine hydrochloride, at a concentration of 1 mg per ml of syrup.
The other ingredients are: citric acid (E330), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), sodium saccharin, sucrose, raspberry essence, and purified water.
