Symptomatic treatment of non-productive cough

Contains 15 mg of noscapine per tablet.

The tablets can be chewed.

The active substance in Noscaflex is noscapine base, a centrally active non-narcotic cough suppressant. It is a derivative of benzylisoquinoline, a non-narcotic opium alkaloid. It has no analgesic effect. Likewise, it is unlikely to induce dependence.

Adults
1 tablet, 5 to 6 times per day (max. 6 x per day)

Children from 12 years old
1 tablet, 4 to 5 times per day (max. 5 x per day)

Children between 6 and 12 years old
1 tablet, 3 to 4 times per day (max. 4 x per day)

The duration of treatment will be as short as possible. The dose will be kept as low as possible, taking into account the clinical effect.

If the cough is resistant to a usual dosage after 5 days, the dose will not be systematically increased, but the clinical situation will be re-examined.

The tablets can be chewed.

Composition
Noscapine 15 mg
Excipient with known effect: Noscaflex contains 5.00 mg of aspartame (E951) per tablet, a source of phenylalanine. This can be dangerous for people with phenylketonuria.
