For cats with or at risk of mixed parasitic infestations caused by roundworms, tapeworms, and lungworms of the following species:
– Roundworms (nematodes)
– Tapeworms (cestodes)
Dosage regimen:
The minimum recommended doses are 3 mg of emodepside/kg body weight and 12 mg of praziquantel/kg body weight, or 0.14 ml of PROFENDER®/kg body weight.
For the treatment of roundworms and tapeworms, a single administration is effective.
For the treatment of pregnant females to prevent the transmission of Toxocara cati (L3 larval stage) to kittens via nursing, a single administration approximately 7 days before the estimated due date is effective.
For the lungworm Aelurostrongylus abstrusus, a treatment of two administrations spaced 15 days apart is effective.
Directions for use:
For external use only.
Remove one pipette from the packaging. Hold the pipette upright, twist, and pull off the cap. Use the cap upside down to screw on and pierce the pipette’s opening.
Part the fur at the base of the cat’s neck to expose the skin. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin. Applying it to the base of the neck will minimize the possibility of the cat licking the product.
