Use

Step 1: Wash hands before and after use. Gently cleanse the scar and its surrounding skin with mild soap and rinse with clean, lukewarm water. Thoroughly dry the scar and surrounding skin.

Remove the gel plate from its container.

2nd step:
Cut the gel plate to fit the scar, allowing a margin overflowing around the skin. Remove the printed plastic sheet.

Step 3:
Apply the gel plate, adhesive side towards the scar, without stretching it. If necessary, use a light band to hold the CICA-CARE dressing in place. The first two days, use the CICA-CARE only 4 hours per day. For the next two days, wear the CICA-CARE 8 hours a day. Increase the application time from 2 hours per day to at least 12 hours per day. If possible, wear the CICA-CARE 24 hours a day.

Step 4:
Wash the CICA-CARE, the scar and the surrounding skin area at least once a day with mild soap and clean lukewarm water. Wipe off with a towel.

Step 5:
When the CICA-CARE dressing begins to wear off or becomes difficult to clean (usually after 14-28 days), it should be replaced. Used correctly, the plates give visible results after 2 to 4 months.
