FREESTYLE LIBRE 2+ SENSOR

The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor is compatible with the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader and the FreeStyle LibreLink app.

The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor continuously measures interstitial glucose levels. Measurements are transmitted to the FreeStyle Libre 2 reader by scanning the sensor. If the sensor is activated using the FreeStyle LibreLink smartphone app, sensor data is automatically transmitted to the app every minute. If a disconnection occurs between the sensor and the app, scanning the sensor with the app can recover missing data for the last 8 hours. The data generated includes the entire glycemic profile (value/trend/variability/history for the last 8 hours, etc.).
The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor automatically communicates with the system used to activate it (FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or FreeStyle LibreLink app) to issue low and high glucose alarms if activated.
