Voltaren Emulgel 1% is a drug based on diclofenac, with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, which belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Its properties result mainly from an inhibition of the biosynthesis of certain prostaglandins by blocking prostaglandin synthetase.
Its unique galenic: Emulgel guarantees rapid penetration and better absorption in the target tissue.

Indication
Adults and adolescents aged 14 and over
Post-traumatic inflammation in tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints
Localized forms of abarticular rheumatism such as tendovaginitis, shoulder-hand syndrome, bursitis, periarthropathies
Only adults (18 years and over)
Localized inflammatory rheumatic conditions such as inflammatory flare-ups of osteoarthritis in the peripheral joints and spine
Adults and adolescents aged 14 and over: Symptomatic local treatment in the event of: – post-traumatic inflammation in the tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints; – localized forms of abarticular rheumatism such as tendovaginitis, shoulder-hand syndrome, bursitis, periarthropathies.
Only adults (18 years and over): Symptomatic local treatment in the event of: – localized inflammatory rheumatic diseases such as inflammatory outbreaks
Use
Adults and adolescents> 14 years
Depending on the size of the area to be treated, 2 – 4 g (amount equivalent to the size of a small amount) of gel will be applied 3 – 4 times a day.
Massage lightly.

Adults and adolescents 14 years and over: Dosage: Depending on the size of the area to be treated, apply 2 – 4 g (amount equivalent to the size of a hazelnut) of Voltaren Emulgel 3 – 4 times a day.

Duration of treatment: The duration of treatment depends on the indication and the clinical response. For post-traumatic inflammation in the tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints and localized forms of abarticular rheumatism: the duration of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks, without medical advice. · For localized inflammatory rheumatic diseases (only adults aged 18 and over): the duration of treatment should not exceed 3 weeks, without medical advice. The patient should see his doctor if symptoms have not improved or if they worsen after 1 week.
Composition
The active substance is diclofenac (as diclofenac diethylammonium) which corresponds to 1 g of diclofenac sodium per 100 g of gel The other ingredients are diethylamine, carbomer 974P, cetomacrogol 1000, Cetiol LC (cocoyl caprylocaprate), isopropanol, paraffin liquid, cream fragrance 45 Givaudan (contains benzyl benzoate), propylene glycol, purified water.
